This case examines a different leadership development program within the World Economic Forum. The program was born out of the belief that the complexities of global challenges begin on the 21st of each year. During the three-year program, fellows combined a forum position with formal modules of classroom training, individual training, peer tutoring, and comprehensive assessment. The case examines the forum’s understanding of its role in the world, the vision of leadership that animates the program, and the structure and content of the program. You wonder how successful the program has been in delivering the kind of transformational experience you envision and whether other organizations could or should replicate it.
