Beginning in 2014, JPMorgan launched Chase Inverted in Detroit, a $ 100 million philanthropic investment in the city over five years. The bank worked with local business development organizations, human resource development organizations, small businesses, philanthropists, and the city government to make a variety of investments to improve the troubled city. In 2017, JPMorgan Chases President and CEO Jamie Dimon is faced with the decision whether or not to expand the program to other locations in the United States. Case (B) explains the expansion of the program to Chicago and Washington, DC that began in 2017.
