In 2019, the Chief Executive Officer of Anglo American plc (Anglo American), a global mining company, reviewed her two-year collaboration with the Human Resources (HR) leadership team to establish the International Leadership Academy of the company. His role was to find leadership development solutions that supported Anglo American’s strategy and to make recommendations on how to resource, identify, develop and retain the diverse talent pool needed to achieve the company’s business objectives. She had done her best to ensure that the Leadership Academy offerings supported the strategic goals of the organization.
