SAS: Leadership in Business Intelligence, set in 2007, tells the story of a large analytics software company that sees itself as a leader in an area loosely called business intelligence. SAS is owned by two programmers, one of whom, Jim Goodnight, owns two-thirds of the shares and has been the CEO of the company for the past 30 years. SAS was originally a statistical analysis software package developed by Jim Goodnight and his original partners before the company was founded in 1976. Between its inception and 2007, the company has developed an astonishing array of software add-ons and features that enable Organizations carry out data warehousing and data mining, reporting and dashboard generation that enable managers to forecast opportunities and make database-driven decisions for the future to be found.
