One Acre Fund, a young, international, non-profit social enterprise run by friends of the founder, had grown rapidly since its inception. The case presents this problem that new nonprofits often face and how the organization, led by the chairman of the board, seeks to solve it through a reorganization of the board and major changes in the members of the board.
