Ivey Publishing ()

After a year of operation, the new manager of a tennis store and lounge bar, with the help of the company’s accountant, has to prepare annual accounts from notes kept throughout the year. The case is intended as an introduction to simple transaction accounting in terms of assets, liabilities, income, and expenses. Correction postings are required such as depreciation and manufacturing costs. Students are asked to complete the accounting cycle by completing closing entries and an income statement and balance sheet.
