Ashton Thyme’s, a luxury furniture boutique in Athens, Georgia, has been given exclusive territory to sell vintage reproduction furniture from the Country Market Collection. But one customer found the same Country Market Collection products that Ashton Thyme sells online at a lower price. The customer offered Ashton Thyme’s the option to adjust the price online, which the manager declined. This situation leads to an angry phone call from the manager to the owner of Country Market Collection, arguing that sales to websites violate Ashton Thyme’s exclusive territorial rights.
