Randall Fojtasek, a partner at Dallas-based Brazos Private Equity Partners, must decide whether it is time to sell his company’s stake in TriNorthern Distribution. Brazos, a mid-size leveraged acquisitions group, founded the company two years earlier by acquiring two electronic security distribution companies: TriEd Distribution and Northern Video Systems. 24 months after the successful integration of the two companies, Brazos has received two attractive offers for the joint distributor. However, with the company’s management anticipating double-digit growth in 2012, it is far from clear that this is the best time to exit the company’s third bottom.
