Case B describes the aftermath of Unilever’s acquisition of Ben & Jerry. While there was sadness and dismay among the general public that the socially responsible company appeared to be ‘exhausted’, Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield tried to put it in the best light possible: “Under this new agreement, Ben and Jerry’s will be run independently. , Our Values ”will continue and we hope that our efforts to achieve positive change will expand even further. Unilever has a contractual commitment to increase the percentage of socially beneficial activities in sales each year. Ben and Jerry’s will do more good than today. ”
