Since 2000, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, a Fortune 500 global oil company largely owned by the Indian government, has institutionalized an internal competition called IDEAS. Each year, several employees participated by submitting their innovative ideas to the contest. Many of these innovations have resulted in significant savings and / or improvements.
