The Patient Affairs Coordinator is concerned about the growing number of complaints about the level of performance of the transportation teams at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC). The center’s management team is determined to create an exemplary patient transport service at AUBMC and is therefore initiating research, supported by a comprehensive study, to identify better ways to redesign these processes. The coordinator should consider the factors that contribute to patient and staff complaints, and the types of data and evidence needed to provide evidence-based solutions for transporting patients to the hospital.
